Hello all. I had some complains of with drawls, so just thought I'd stop by.
Of course the headline in today's sporting news is none other than Michael Vick's conviction time. Not that I really care that much, but he was sentenced to 23 months in prison and 3 years probation. Since he already has spent a month in jail knowing he would be anyways, he was essentially sentenced to two years in prison. Of course his defense team will try to reduce that to 18 months since that was the original prediction.
So we shouldn't be hearing much about Vick until about September or so of 2009. So that's that.
In other news the dumb New England Patriots beat a tough Pittsburgh Steelers last night to remain undefeated and now stand at 13-0. Yeah I picked the Patriots to win the super bowl, but I am beyond tired of hearing about the perfect record mess. At a point it just gets old. They aren't fun to watch, it just comes down to oh hey its Brady to Moss, whoop de do. Yeah they do their job, but I'm tired of it. I hope they lose to the Dolphins in two weeks, now that would be some good news. I'd probably be laughing none stop. I can't stand to see Belicheck or whatever his name is, he's to cocky looking, he's even worse than Brady.
Oh but they like to call it "humble pie." I'll give you some humble pie. Sorry, just trying to make this post interesting. I don't care how many the team or Brady makes, I still think the MVP award should go to Favre. He is having the best year of his career and he is 38 years old and was said to be done the past two years.
You know, I was thinking, how come other teams don't "steal" that Patriots offensive "style." Meaning why don't other teams run the five wide spread offense like the Patriots. Obviously defenses can't stop it, why not give it a shot. It makes sense to me. Whatever. ;-)
I need LBJ to come back, I mean how cautious can you be about a sprained index finger on your off hand. Not only is his team stinking it up, he's also causing my fantasy team to slip a little. Come back Lebron!
