Lebron keeps changing the record books in the NBA in only his fifth season in the league. He achieved the new goal last night in a big double overtime win against the Bucks. Lebron became the youngest player in NBA history to to reach 9,000 career points. James scored 31 in a much needed Cavaliers victory.
With Lebron back from injury and Anderson Varejao finally signed and back playing, the Cavs should get in sync and hopefully get back to winning ways. I'm looking for Lebron to get back to his MVP form from before his injury and the Cavs will be a team to be reckoned with in the coming months.
The NBA season is just about two months into their season and there are two teams that seem to be standing out above the rest. Of course it is no question, the Boston Celtics and San Antonio Spurs. Celtics have the best record in the league behind their "big 3" and the Spurs seem to be the class of the West. Though they did lose their first home game last night against the Suns, 100-95, and that was without their point guard Tony Parker.
One team that is hot at the moment is the Portland Trailblazers who have won seven straight games and now stand at 12-12. The Blazers are a young team, who are without their number one draft pick Greg Oden, yet their team leader is Brandon Roy. Portland is showing good promise and will certainly grow to be a top team in the coming years in the Western Conference.

Why not rename this the Lebron James LoveFest? Or Maybe SportsLove with Lebron James? Or what about My Favorite Player in the World Lebron James Blog? Great players on crappy teams score lots of points. When he wins a Championship...then we are talking. To quote Miami RB Mercury Morris, "Don't call me when they're in my town, call me when they're on my block." Those are the words of Jordan, Magic, etc.....
