But first I have to rant about last nights college football game.
The new number two team, the Boston College Eagles playing at the number eight team, the Virginia Tech Hokies at Lane Stadium on a Thursday night, in the cold rain.
Tech is known to be unbeatable on games played Thursday night at Lane, yet the Eagles obviously don't believe the hype, handing both of Tech's two loses played on Thursday night. Lane Stadium is packed, no one cares about the rain. It's raining the whole game until half way through the third quarter and Tech has played great holding a 10-0 lead into the fourth quarter.
Tech continues its well defensive play for the first eight minutes of the fourth quarter, then BC quarterback Matt Ryan just decided to play the game. Ryan had two interceptions and then leads BC down the field, eluding the pass rush and finding Wide receivers getting open on broken routes. BC scores with two minutes left in the game and then kick the onside kick and what do you know, they come away with the ball.
Now is the time when me and my bud are saying if Tech loses this game would be awful. Having talked about the whole second half about rushing the field after a Tech victory over the number two team in the land.
Well as many of you know, Matt Ryan leads BC down the field and throws a 24 yard touchdown pass on third down with 11 seconds remaining on the clock, yet again buying time and waiting for his receivers to get open.
Well, Matt Ryan is a very impressive quarterback and he showed it in the fourth quarter at Lane Stadium on Thursday night. Ryan was considered one of the top Heisman candidates so far this season and I think he just etched his name into that trophy as this years winner. BC has a good chance to win out the remaining of the season and will probably be in national championship contention.
Disappointing lose for the Hokies who have been fighting to earn respect across the country and many people consider them overrated. Which is false and not including the last few minutes of the game should prove that Tech is legit. It just happens that Matt Ryan is obviously better than Tech's defense late in the game.

Yeah, how's that for a screwball. I could easily pick the Spurs to repeat, but I don't want to do that. I think the Suns will finally break that barrier this season.
North Carolina Tar Heels Preseason Number 1.
Enough said.
