The NBA season is down to only four teams remaining; two from each conference. Only one team is a "surprise" in my opinion. The Utah Jazz made it back to the Western conference finals for the first time since 1998 during the Malone, Stockton era, when they lost to none other than the Chicago Bulls in the NBA Finals for the second straight year.
But that's another story... the Jazz are facing a very good and determined Spurs team. The Spurs took game 1 at home last night and are looking to make it back to the Finals for the first time since they won the title in 2005.
In the East, no surprises; Detroit and Cleveland. Lebron has made it to the next step and seems to be in the same position as a player he is compared to often in Michael Jordan. Jordan faced the Pistons three seasons in a row when in the Conference Finals before he made it to the Finals and went on to win three straight championships.
I'm looking for the Spurs to win in 6 games and the Pistons in 6 also. So we will be set for a 2005 championship rematch. Lebron will have a tough series due to the Pistons talent and tough defense.
So far the playoffs have been fairly exciting and now we are down to the Finals and can't make any mistakes or excuses.
